The project

Probably already today no more - and if, then not for long! From the owners, my architectural office had the order to restore and rebuild their two properties on the property on Bachstrasse. This was completed in winter 2017. For the now total of 14 apartments, a part of the garden should be gravelled for parking. In a long process we have now managed to plan a new underground parking underneath and thus to preserve the garden and the green space. But there is the so-called "Häxehüüsli". Initially, we were able to convince the owners to keep the "Hüsli" and to build the underground garage around it - until a condition was imposed regarding access to the garage project, which affected the project and thus this "Hüsli". After that, the decision was quickly clear, it comes now but gone, if the structural compromise proposed by us can not be implemented - it was unfortunately not possible! Still I find it a pity that it can not be preserved on the spot and also in the future as a small annexe the street space of the Bachstrasse enframes and decorates - the decision of the owners for the deconstruction I understand from the circumstances but fully... Thus, unfortunately, another witness of our time disappears from our environment - clearly only a former Rebhüsli - but so I find, a very special "Schnupftrückli" with its mansard roof, in which the time has stood still!
