The project

The former industrial hall was renovated by an architectural firm. We were then involved in the design of the common areas of this cultural center, which houses 6 associations. A series of punctual interventions were conceived like a red thread that structures the place. The project mixes elements found on site with brought-in materials. All elements, whether reused or new, share a common color palette to harmonize with previous structures. The addition of more refined materials, such as used marble, contrasts with the raw materials of the existing building envelope. Curves also bring movement to the strict lines of the halls. In addition to paying special attention to the reuse of materials, the project's implementation prioritized collaboration with local artisans and tradespeople. Total area of the project: 160m2 Photos: © HEAD-Geneva, Morgan Carlier

Reuse of materials and elements

8m2 marble, 3 grids, 11 compartments/lockers, 6 metal angles, 3 large metal legs, 3 mirrors, 2 chairs, 1 sink, 1 stainless steel furniture.
