The city of Zurich is committed to the circular economy: Zurich was the first Swiss city to adopt a corresponding strategy(Strategy Circular Zurich). The planned new construction of the Juch-Areal recycling center by Entsorgung & Recycling Zürich (ERZ) in Zürich-Altstetten is in line with this and is intended to be a symbol of the reuse and recycling of raw materials and (construction) materials. The Office of Structural Engineering of the City of Zurich, together with Entsorgung & Recycling Zürich, has held a project competition in a selective procedure in the sense of a pilot project for this new building. The result will be published on March 2, 2023 at www.stadt-zuerich.ch/wettbewerbe.

Expert*s from the Office of Structural Engineering with the specialist office for environmentally sound construction and from Entsorgung & Recycling Zürich will give you an insight into the pilot project and present the winning project in the competition exhibition. Afterwards there will be enough time for discussion and exchange.
